Scientists followed the practice schedules of 1.1 million runners over a time of five years. They considered the runner’s location, their social media activities the time, distance, their pace and how much calories they were able to burn. The specialists observed that sharing individual practice information by means of web-based social networking can motivate others to practice more, exercise harder and do as such at a higher intensity.
The study was published in a journal ‘Nature Communications’. It incorporated accounts of people inspired upon reading or seeing a friend’s success in terms of achieving their physical goals. Specialists stated: “by and large, an extra kilometer keep running by companions can rouse somebody to run an extra three-tenths of a kilometer, and an extra ten minutes keep running by
